1 Opportunity Available Scholarship: $3,500 Internship Paid: $1,500 stipend
• full-time sophomore, junior, or senior for the entire 2008-2009 academic year
• Their Mission: The Milton Historical Society is a non-profit, private organization. The Society was formed in 1948 not only to preserve the Milton House, but also for the preservation, advancement and dissemination of the history of Milton, Wisconsin.
• Sample Projects: Some possibilities may include: Help set up the Society as it moves into a new building; create a database of hotel guests from 1800s; revise history of Milton House; establish detailed database for information contained in archival holdings; produce videos or DVDs related to the Milton House or other aspects of local history; produce brochures for marketing the site; act as site manager responsible for daily operation of Museum; research other Underground Railroad sites and information. We are also open to other projects if they support the mission of the Milton Historical Society.
