Their Mission: The Milton Historical Society is a non-profit, private organization. The Society was formed in 1948 not only to preserve the Milton House, but also for the preservation, advancement and dissemination of the history of Milton, Wisconsin.


Sample Projects: Some possibilities may include: Help set up the Society as it moves into a new building; create a database of hotel guests from 1800s; revise history of Milton House; establish detailed database for information contained in archival holdings; produce videos or DVDs related to the Milton House or other aspects of local history; produce brochures for marketing the site; act as site manager responsible for daily operation of Museum; research other Underground Railroad sites and information. We are also open to other projects if they support the mission of the Milton Historical Society.
